If you ever need a repair, we can get your hearing aid repaired quickly at a reasonable cost and give you a loaner hearing aid to use until yours comes back.
- Tinnitus Diagnostics and Management
Tinnitus is a common condition, where a person experiences a ringing, rushing, or buzzing in the ears. Tinnitus will not cause you to go deaf, but its presence may affect your daily activities.
Our professionals can help recommend a course of action to deal with this persistent problem. Each person has an individual response to treatment. Our goal is to work with you to minimize and potentially eliminate this condition. - Hearing Aid Evaluations
We have state-of-the-art equipment and experienced professionals who can evaluate your hearing. We can use special videootoscopy equipment to view your ear canal and eardrum. Combined with the knowledge of our specially trained audiologists, you'll know exactly what it will take to have better hearing health. - Ear Molds: Swim Molds
People who do not want water in their ear canals can have floatable swimmer's ear plugs made of a water resistant material which can even be made in hundreds of colors. - Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs): FM Systems
You may have certain communications needs that can't be solved alone by hearing aids. For example, when you use the telephone or listen to the radio, you still may have difficulty hearing clearly.
Special devices have been developed to solve these problems. Assistive listening devices make specific desired sounds, rather than all sounds (in the surrounding environment) louder for more clarity. Some of these devices are especially helpful in background noise. - TV Ears for listening to the television
Other Assistive devices include alarm clocks, alerting devices that attach to the telephone, smoke detectors, fire alarms to make the hearing impaired person aware that the phone is ringing or that there is danger.
- Ear Protection
Every gunshot produces a noise that could damage the ears of anyone in close hearing range. Large bore guns and artillery are the worse because they are the loudest. But even cap guns and firecrackers can damage your hearing if the explosion is close to your ear. Anyone who uses firearms without some form of ear protection risks hearing loss.
Recent studies show an alarming increase in hearing loss in youngsters. Evidence suggests that loud rock music along with increased use of portable radios with earphones may be responsible for this phenomenon.
Although over the counter ear protection does help protect your hearing somewhat if you are exposed daily to loud noises it is better to have custom made ear protection. Our staff is trained to take these ear impressions and have these custom molds made to fit your ears specifically.
